IN what one national newspaper termed a “telepathic attack,” metal-bender Uri Geller has urged the public to use mind power to try and secure a second referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU.

Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Uri said that he has “known Theresa May for over 21 years, as I lived in the same village as she still does.
“She visited my home. I took her to my garage, pointed at a spoon that belonged to Winston Churchill and bombarded her saying, ‘She will be Prime Minister.’ She laughed. Now she is.”
Uri said he plans to use the “power of my mind” and, with the help of millions of fellow Remainers, mount a telepathic attack on Mrs May aimed at forcing her to hold a second referendum.
Admitting that many sceptics do not believe in his gifts, Uri outlined his scheme to keep Britain within the EU.
“This is my plan to all of you who are with me,” he said. “I’m not a prophet and I’m not a guru.
“If we concentrate together at 11.11 am/pm every morning and evening, think the following: ‘Theresa, bring us to a second vote. Go to a second referendum’.”
Though he now lives in Israel, Uri said that he has a British passport and “cares passionately” about the UK’s future.
“My mother comes from Sigmund Freud’s family,” he added. “Thirty-five years ago, she persuaded me to leave New York and come to England.
“I lived in the UK for longer than anywhere else. I care passionately about the UK.”
After mentioning an economic recession if Britain leaves, Uri said that “if the deal is done… the UK will be isolated not only from Europe, but the entire world.”
He accepted that his plan could fail because he is “just a human,” but urged other Remainers to give it a try.
“I have the power,” he added. “Let’s do this. Remember, there are more than five million signatures on the petition calling for a second referendum.”
Later, Uri appeared on ITV’s This Morning and addressed Mrs May directly, saying: “You are powerful. Stay strong and give us a second vote.”
Asked if he was behaving unethically, he replied, “Well it may be loosely unethical, but I care very much about this.”
The Daily Mail told readers that Uri “rose to fame in the 1970s with an act based around his apparent psychic powers and telepathy skills, which were even tested by the CIA…
“He owns a 1976 Fleetwood Brougham Cadillac, which he turned into an artwork by riveting 2,000 spoons to its body panels.
“Many of the spoons formerly belonged to famous people, including Napoleon, John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, the Dalai Lama and Gandhi. Geller’s website describes the vehicle as ‘priceless’.”
In another twist, Brighton clairvoyant Isabella Rosetta has predicted that the Prime Minister will fall from power.
Isabella, 39, said she saw “partying in the street” after Theresa May is deposed and Brexit is stopped following a second referendum.
Speaking of her ability to look into the future, she said: “These visions are like little films which come into my head. I saw a people’s vote happening in May and the Remain side winning.
“I also saw ‘Exit Brexit’ street parties, and parades with music in the street – there is so much joy. It’s a carnival atmosphere.
“I see Mrs May packing her bags to the sound of people cheering. There’s a huge sense of relief in the parade.”
Psychic since childhood, Isabella said the Premier will be replaced by a man, but could not name him, although she saw a vision of Boris Johnson, who will “reappear and have a big part to play.”

She added that the new Prime Minister would prove far more popular than Mrs May.
Isabella used clairvoyance and tarot cards to predict Brexit’s outcome, and believes that the UK “will strike a deal with the EU to remain and be stronger for it.
“Mrs May is going and will be forced out of her position as Prime Minister. She will try to stop this from happening, but she is worn down and exhausted, like her plans.
“The people will get justice in the form of a fairer, more balanced and more charitable deal. It’s a deal for the people who felt cheated.”
